Run a Listing Drive for Your Local School PAC
Run a Listing Drive with Reraiseit and let your parents, students, and community turn gently used or new items into real fundraising dollars — without selling door-to-door.
It’s one click and done.
The listing and buying experience is similar to Facebook Marketplace, but payments happen online. When completed the funds go directly into your account.
What Is a Listing Drive?
A Listing Drive is a simple way for PACs to let parents, supporters, and the wider school community know about an upcoming fundraiser on Reraiseit.com.
Think of it like a bottle drive — but with more money and none of the work:
- No driving
- No drop-offs
- No messy vehicles
- No fuel costs
Just send out our ready-to-use Listing Drive email, or customize it to match your school’s voice.
Why Listing Drives Work So Well
We’ve found that fundraisers are far more successful when they start with a strong pre-launch listing drive.
The goal:
Have a large number of items listed before the fundraiser officially goes live.
Aim for 25–50+ listings on Day 1 of pre-Launch
Momentum builds quickly as more families join in
More listings → more buyers → more funds raised
💡 Tip: Start with your 20 most engaged or influential supporters and ask them to list items first. That early momentum makes a big difference.
We’ve got your back — we’re always creating tools and content to help make your fundraiser as successful as possible. If you need anything at all, email the Reraiseit Fundraising Coach at [email protected].
Lead With the “WHY”
A huge part of a successful Listing Drive is clearly explaining why you’re fundraising.
Instead of saying: “We’re raising money for the school”
Be specific: “We need $6,000 to complete our iPad cart so our students have the tools they need to learn.”
Clear goals inspire more participation and higher sales.
What Can Be Listed?
A better question is: What can’t be listed?
School supporters commonly list:
- Electronics
- Sports equipment
- Furniture & home décor
- Tools & patio items
- Toys & games
- Bikes, scooters & outdoor gear
- Gift items and new products
- Brand-name clothing & accessories
- Baby & kids items
- Collectibles & hobbies
If it can be sold online, it can support your PAC.
Pricing Matters (A Lot)
Please encourage families to price items aggressively.
The goal is to sell items quickly to fund your school.
Example:
If an item sells new for $100, a good listing price is $40–$60, depending on condition.
Well-priced items = faster sales = more momentum.
Use At Least 4 Reminders (Recommended)
Successful Listing Drives rely on reminders. People want to help — they just need prompts.
Suggested schedule:
📧 Pre-Launch (10–14 days before)
First email explains:
- What the fundraiser is
- How a Listing Drive works
- Why the funds matter
- Address common questions and concerns
- Invite families to reach out to the Fundraising Coach if needed
🎯 Goal:
Aim for 50% of your student population to list items before launch.
Example: A school with 500 students should aim for 250 listings.
Even 25–100 listings is a strong start.
📧 3–5 Days Before
Second email focuses on the financial impact for the school
Reinforce the goal and encourage last-minute listings
📧 The Night Before
Quick reminder: “We go live tomorrow!”
📧 Morning Of
Final reminder with the fundraiser link
